About Dr. Amber Hill PhD

My Approach

I am dual licensed as a clinical psychologist and clinical counselor, located in beautiful Westlake, Ohio. I see patients ages 6 and older, but specialize in treating adults, using cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and brief solution-focused therapies to address a wide range of psychological issues. We set goals, develop coping strategies, and work collaboratively to create meaningful change.

Ultimately, my goal as a clinical psychologist is to empower my clients to better understand their own minds and to equip them with the skills needed to navigate life's challenges. I look forward to making a positive impact in the lives of those I am privileged to serve.

What is the availability of therapy sessions at Dr. Amber Hill PhD?

I offer therapy sessions Monday through Thursday, both virtual and in-office. You can schedule an appointment by clicking above. If you are looking for a specific day or time that is not showing as available, please reach out to me directly.

What is the cost of therapy sessions?

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance. However, receipts can be provided for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

My fee is $250 for the initial assessment/first appointment and $200 for 50-minute follow-up appointments. The frequency of appointments and length of treatment can vary, based on the clinical focus of treatment.

Please let me know if you are a military service member, veteran, police, firefighter or first responder for a 15% discount on all services. From one veteran to another, I'd like to thank you for your service!

What is the privacy policy at Dr. Amber Hill PhD?

Your information is confidential and will not be shared with anyone without your explicit consent. The only exceptions to confidentiality occur if there is an immediate risk to safety, or in accordance with Ohio Law and HIPAA regulations.

What should I expect during my first session at Dr Amber Hill PhD?

During your first session at Dr Amber Hill PhD, we will discuss your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. This initial session is an opportunity for you to ask questions and for us to get to know one another.

Where is the office located?

The office is conveniently located near I-90 in Westlake, Ohio. Please enter off of Crocker Rd., and it is the last building on the left (suite 5) with its own parking area and separate entrance. Virtual appointments area also available for anyone located in Ohio!

How do I log-in for a virtual appointment?

You can join our virtual appointment by clicking on the “Join URL” sent as part of the appointment confirmation email. Otherwise, log-in to join the video session from the Charm Website/Patient Portal.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

No problem! Appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled online, at least 24 hours prior to the appointment. Please note that cancellations within less than 24 hours of our appointment are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% the appointment cost.

What if I am having an emergency?

Your safety and well-being is the top priority. In the case of any mental health urgent or emergent needs, it is crucial to seek immediate assistance. Please call 911, reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 988, or go directly to your nearest emergency room.
